Task 2: Project Proposal
SECTIONS
INSTRUCTIONS
Brief:
Based on our initial idea
discussions, we are
required to develop an
experience design project
based on a subject or
topic of our choice. This
can be anything from a
screen-based experience to
a physical space
experience. Our task is to
create a professional
proposal document that
clearly explains our
project idea and describes
how the experience will be
for the user.
The proposal should
include an analysis of the
current experience, a
comparison with similar
existing solutions, and
how our concept improves
upon them. We are also
expected to include mock
designs that show what the
final outcome would look
like from the user’s
perspective.

REFLECTIONS
This task gave me a much clearer idea of what
experience design really involves. At first, it
felt quite broad since we could choose any topic
we wanted, but that also made it more exciting
because we had the freedom to explore ideas we
were actually interested in. Working with my
groupmate, Sophia, we spent a lot of time
discussing how to create something that wasn’t
just creative, but also meaningful from a user’s
perspective.
One thing I noticed early on was that coming up
with ideas felt relatively easy, we had so many
concepts we were excited about. But when it came
to actually thinking about how to implement
those ideas within our current knowledge and
skills in Unity, it became a lot more
challenging. It made us rethink and adjust our
ideas to make sure they were actually doable
within the time frame and with the tools we know
how to use.
Analyzing existing experiences and comparing
them to ours was also helpful. It made me more
aware of how much thought goes into user
interactions, even in things we take for
granted. Creating rough and simple mockups
helped made it easier to picture the experience
we wanted to implement.
