INSTRUCTIONS
Brief: The objective of this assignment is to apply Scott
McCloud's theory on transitions to create a digital triptych, comprising
three panels: one before, one during (climactic turning point), and one
after a significant event. Each panel will represent a different
transition type from McCloud's theory.

| Fig 1.1 Initial design for panels | Week 10 (29/11/23) |
For my initial design, I maintained the same perspective across all three panels.
- The first panel illustrates the boy's encounter with Slenderman.
- The second panel depicts Slenderman displaying hostility.
- The third panel shows the child disappearing, with scattered leaves and twigs indicating signs of distress, implying that he was kidnapped by Slenderman.
However, after consulting with Mr. Hafiz, he indicated that the panels
were acceptable. He advised me to try different perspectives for my
designs, as my initial ones may appear plain.

| Fig 1.2 Idea sketches for revised panels | Week 10 (29/11/23) |
Mr. Hafiz guided and directed me with some sketches on how I could portray my illustrations from various perspectives, making my panels look more interesting.
| Fig 1.3 Outline of panels | Week 10 (30/11/23) |
I proceeded to revise my designs, with the first panel illustrating Slenderman's tentacles creeping up on the child, and the third panel showing the child's hands, indicating that he was being dragged away from his toy.

| Fig 1.4 Coloured panels | Week 10 (1/12/23) |
I aimed to maintain consistency in my colour palette across all panels. Therefore, instead of using red to represent the colour of blood, I opted for a yellow-gold shade.
I completed my illustration by adding textures to maintain the same art-deco style I used in the previous task.

REFLECTIONS
This task has been an eye-opener, highlighting the significance of utilizing transitions between scenes and their impact on storytelling. Moreover, I've discovered that perspectives during these transitions significantly influence the flow of a story, captivating the readers and enhancing their engagement with the narrative.
